About This Tool

Inspect important audio and filename facts before you prepare a distributor upload.

The checker decodes the file on your device and measures duration, sample rate, channels, peak level, clipped samples, and leading or trailing silence. WAV headers also expose bit depth when available.

Practical tips

  • Check the final lossless master, not only an MP3 review copy.
  • Treat clipping and long silence warnings as prompts to listen again.
  • Confirm credits, artwork, lyrics, rights, and release metadata separately.

Common questions

Does a clear report guarantee DistroKid acceptance?

No. The report covers facts detectable in the browser. Distributor review, rights, metadata, artwork, and content decisions remain separate.

Why is bit depth unavailable for some files?

Bit depth is read directly from supported WAV headers. Compressed formats do not expose an equivalent PCM bit-depth value after browser decoding.

Is my release master uploaded?

No. File reading, decoding, and measurement happen locally in the current browser tool.
