About This Tool

Understand the overall level, peaks, and dynamics of an audio file before release.

The analyzer applies K-weighting and gated 400ms measurement blocks for an integrated loudness estimate, then reports unweighted RMS, sample peak, crest factor, level-range estimate, and clipped samples.

Practical tips

  • Compare versions using the same browser and device.
  • Listen to the loudest passages when clipping or a low crest factor is reported.
  • Keep the untouched final master alongside any normalized derivative.

Common questions

Is this a certified LUFS meter?

No. It uses K-weighting and gated blocks for a useful browser estimate, but certified delivery should be checked with a calibrated professional meter.

Is sample peak the same as true peak?

No. Sample peak reads decoded samples. True peak estimates inter-sample peaks using oversampling and is not claimed by this tool.

Does the analyzer upload or alter audio?

No. The file is decoded and measured locally, and the original file is not changed.
