About This Tool

Play audio backwards and download a reversed MP3 or WAV locally.

The audio reverser flips the sample order within each decoded channel, keeping left and right separate. Compare the original and reversed previews, then export the whole reversed recording. No audio is uploaded and no AI model is needed.

Practical tips

  • Start with a short sound effect or voice clip and compare both previews.
  • Trim a longer recording with MP3 Cutter before reversing it.
  • Download and listen to the exported copy before closing the page.

Common questions

How do I reverse an MP3?

Choose the file, wait for local reversal, compare Play original and Play reversed, then export and download a reversed MP3 or WAV.

Does reversing audio change its duration?

The reversed decoded buffer keeps its frame count, sample rate and channels. MP3 encoding may add a little padding, so a player can report a slightly longer download.

Is reversed MP3 lossless?

No. The sample reversal preserves decoded values, but MP3 is re-encoded and WAV export is 16-bit PCM. Neither restores detail already lost in the source.

Why can a small file exceed the memory limit?

Compressed audio expands when decoded, and reversal needs another buffer. The decoded limit is 64MiB on desktop or 32MiB on mobile. Try a shorter or lower sample-rate source.
